A romantic autumn wedding at Manoir de Vacheresses with Alicia and Nicolas

This Manoir de Vacheresses wedding inspiration shoot took place in the French countryside, just outside Paris. Tucked away on the edge of Yvelines, between Paris and Chartres, it feels wonderfully peaceful while still being incredibly accessible.
As a Paris wedding photographer based in Normandy, and not far from this part of France, it’s a venue I love recommending to couples planning a destination wedding near Paris. Because of its location, Manoir de Vacheresses offers that rare balance. You get countryside calm with the ease of travel, which makes it ideal for intimate celebrations with guests coming from further afield.
This inspiration photoshoot was designed to explore what a romantic, understated wedding at the manoir could look like. At the same time, it allowed the venue’s character to take centre stage.

The Vision for ThIS manoir de vacheresses wedding
The vision for this inspiration shoot was rooted in softness, texture, and quiet elegance. The aim was to create something timeless and natural, without anything feeling overly styled or dramatic.
The tablescape set up along the path up to the front of the Manoir was a dream. It felt like the perfect blend of modern details with the old-world charm the venue brings. Everything felt elegant and understated, yet full of character. The palette was earthy but bright, with florals in peaches, pinks, olives and purples. Seasonal pumpkins and squash tied everything together and brought in that soft autumn feeling without being over the top.
Rather than overwhelming the space, the design worked in harmony with the manoir. As a result, each detail felt intentional and considered.

Manoir de Vacheresses as a Wedding Location
One of the reasons Manoir de Vacheresses works so beautifully for weddings is its versatility. The Manoir can be privately hired, which gives couples the freedom to truly make the space their own. This is especially appealing for intimate destination weddings in France.
Inside, the rooms are full of history and charm. Deep green velvet sofas, antique portraits, stone fireplaces and a statement chandelier create warm, character-filled spaces. These interiors photograph beautifully in all light. Because of this, they work perfectly for getting ready, indoor portraits, or simply giving guests space to settle in.
Outside, the grounds feel expansive yet intimate. There’s parkland, towering trees, rustic corners, and charming pathways. All of these offer a variety of backdrops without needing to go anywhere else. The front steps of the manoir and the long driveway are real showstoppers, particularly for portraits or a relaxed outdoor dinner.
For couples considering a real wedding here, Manoir de Vacheresses also offers plenty of ceremony options on site. You could choose a spot in the gardens or closer to the house itself. Alternatively, there are beautiful French churches nearby for couples who prefer a traditional ceremony before returning to the manoir to celebrate.

intimate DINNER inspiration at manoir de vacheresseS
For this inspiration shoot, the dinner setup took place outdoors along the main driveway leading up to the manoir. A long table sat beneath the open sky. The architecture and surroundings framed the scene naturally.
The tablescape echoed the overall vision. It felt elegant but unfussy. Antique silver details, soft linens, candlelight, and seasonal fruit and vegetables came together with ease. As the light softened, the atmosphere shifted gently. This showed just how beautiful the space feels as day turns to evening.
