What an absolute dream it was to be Mya and Chris’ Chateau de Rouffillac wedding photographer. Nestled in the hills of the Dordogne, this breathtaking château set the stage for a truly magical celebration. Their love for each other was infectious, radiating throughout the entire day, and it was such a joy to document every beautiful moment. The speeches were a true highlight – so much laughter, joy, and a few happy tears. These are the moments I live for as a wedding photographer -honest, emotional, and completely unscripted.

This wedding was truly something special. Timeless, elegant, and filled with so much love. Being their Chateau de Rouffillac wedding photographer was an absolute honour, and I’m so excited to share more from this unforgettable day.

Chateau de Rouffillac wedding venue

Perched high above the Dordogne Valley, Chateau de Rouffillac is the epitome of timeless elegance and French romance. This extraordinary 19th-century chateau has been meticulously modernised while retaining all of its historic charm. Set within 100 acres of private forest, the estate offers panoramic views and enchanting gardens. It also has an array of stunning event spaces, from the intimate courtyard to the grand dining terrace overlooking the river.

The chateau itself is nothing short of spectacular, with nine luxurious bedroom suites, including a Royal Suite featuring its own turret, cathedral vaulted ceilings, and stained-glass windows. Every corner of this venue is incredible. From the grande salon with its magnificent painted ceilings to the period biblioteque adorned with original tapestries and oil paintings. Whether exchanging vows beneath the ancient Roman church ruins, dining al fresco under the stars, or dancing in the courtyard by the waterfall, a wedding at Chateau de Rouffillac is an unforgettable experience.

Mya and Chris envisioned a beautifully elegant yet fun wedding, brought to life with impeccable styling by Perfect Day by Karen and stunning florals by Our Fabulous Things. Their vision came together seamlessly. One long banquet table set against the château’s breathtaking backdrop, adorned with lush florals in soft creams and blues. Blue table runners and napkins added a classic French touch, perfectly complementing the romantic aesthetic of the day.
