Romi & Nicholas – Chateau de Bouthonvilliers

Chateau de Bouthonvilliers wedding photographer
It was such a joy to be Romi and Nicholas’ Chateau de Bouthonvilliers wedding photographer. Originally they were planning a small elopement, but this idea blossomed into a destination wedding in France. They found the perfect venue for their wedding, the beautiful Chateau de Bouthonvilliers. Nicholas and Romi flew from the states for their intimate wedding in Paris. They were overjoyed that so many of their friends and family were able to make the journey from the states to celebrate with them. This petit chateau in Paris was ideal for their needs as they could hire it exclusively, as well as sleep all of their friends and family on site.
It was so joyous to kick off their day with a first look at the front of the chateau. It was an incredibly beautiful, intimate moment between the two of them. We then talk a walk around the grounds for a few couple portraits in the sunshine. Their guests all then made their way to the on-site chapel for their ceremony.
Romi and Nicholas had such a stylish, elegant day full of so much love, and I adore the natural and romantic photographs from their day. It was so wonderful to get to know them both and having the pleasure to capture their day!
Chateau de Bouthonvilliers wedding venue
Chateau de Bouthonvilliers is a breathtaking wedding venue just an hour and a half from Paris and near the Loire Valley. With its elegant 18th-century architecture and beautifully preserved 16th-century wings, the chateau exudes French charm and sophistication. The chateau is classified as a Historic Monument and is surrounded by 20 hectares of English-style gardens. The grounds also feature a charming French-style garden, a one-hectare vegetable garden, a serene pond, and a 19th-century chapel set within a 16th-century dovecot.
Perfect for an exclusive and intimate wedding experience, Chateau de Bouthonvilliers allows for full property privatisation. It can accommodate up to 35 guests on-site. Couples can exchange vows in the beautifully consecrated chapel, which holds up to 50 guests. They can also host their ceremony in the gardens, or in the chateau itself if they so wish. The château provides all necessary furnishings for events of up to 40 people, ensuring a seamless and elegant reception. With its enchanting garden surroundings and timeless beauty, Chateau de Bouthonvilliers is an idyllic choice for couples dreaming of a romantic French countryside wedding.
the couples vision for their chateau wedding
With so many of Romi and Nicholas’ loved ones by their side, it was so important to them to centre their day around creating a personal and thoughtful atmosphere for their day. They decorated Chateau de Bouthonvilliers with a light blue palette of florals, beautifully put together by Angelique at The Painted Bouquet. Throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour they opted for an incredible string duo for their music. This was led by Parisian violinist Santiago Falcon, creating a beautiful atmosphere in the grounds of the chateau.
kind words from the couple
Romi and Nicholas shared the following kind words about the photographs I took at their Chateau de Bouthonvilliers wedding: “Frances, the photos are everything and more. You did such an amazing job and truly captured the joy and energy of the day. Thank you again for agreeing to photograph our wedding, we are so grateful we found you! We will cherish these photos forever.”
