Michelle & Casey – Le Manoir de Gerville
Normandy wedding photographer
It was such a pleasure to be Michelle and Casey’s Normandy wedding photographer! Michelle and Casey knew they wanted a destination wedding where they could bring their closest friends and family together to celebrate. With only 16 guests planned to be in attendance, they wanted to book a place for everyone to enjoy for their wedding week. As a result, they found the gorgeous Le Manoir de Gerville in Normandy, France which was simply perfect for their needs.
When Michelle and Casey first contacted me they shared that it was important to them to have photographs that felt natural and artistic. My approach to photographing weddings is relaxed, with a focus on documenting the day authentically. These two had such a fun, yet laid back and romantic day, and it was such a pleasure to photograph. I’ll never forget these words, “to never settling down”. These are the words that Michelle shared in her vows to Casey, her promise to him that they would continue to chase adventure, love deeply and live life to the fullest. Such an honour to photograph the love between these two!
the couples vision for their normandy wedding
Michelle and Casey wanted their wedding day to look organic and effortless. Florals were one of the most important elements to them as it was the only styling they wanted. They choose a mix of pastel colours to give the wedding a natural, garden feel. Angelique from The Painted Bouquet created a beautiful floral arch in the grounds of the Manoir for a stunning ceremony setting. They then moved inside for an incredibly romantic, candlelit dinner full of florals.
They contrasted the earthy feel of the flowers with Casey’s classic black suit with a bow tie whilst Michelle chose an elegant fitted dress with a back skirt. The Manoir they chose did the rest of the work for the timeless aesthetic they wanted.
kind words from the couple
“We stumbled across Frances whilst on Instagram beginning our search for a photographer. She was an absolutely golden find. The photography was so important to us as this is the one piece from your wedding day that you keep forever, aside from your spouse of course! Frances has such a stunning organic style to her work. She produces photos that look like they are taken from the vantage point of another participant rather than a photographer. When we received our photos we were in awe at the romantic and cinematic feel; they look like art rather than just photographs.”
